Sr Alta de Villiers

Sr Alta de Villiers brings a wealth of knowledge, experience, and compassion to the Pastorie Clinic team. She began her nursing career in the South African military before gaining valuable experience in several hospitals in Pretoria and Namibia during her early years as a nurse.

Her passion for nursing led her to work in both Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, where she spent many years caring for patients in diverse healthcare environments. Throughout her career, Sr Alta worked in paediatric and neonatal Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and later as a nurse educator, helping to mentor and develop the next generation of healthcare professionals.

Today, Sr Alta leads Pastorie Clinic's Outreach and Home Care Programme, supporting patients who require healthcare in the comfort of their own homes. Her broad clinical background, combined with years of experience caring for critically ill patients, enables her to recognise subtle changes in a patient's condition and identify when additional medical intervention is needed. Her calm judgement, clinical expertise, and compassionate approach make her exceptionally well suited to caring for some of the community's most vulnerable patients.

Sr Alta is passionate about building meaningful relationships with her patients and believes that quality healthcare extends beyond the walls of the clinic. She plays an important role in supporting the Greyton community, helping patients maintain their independence while ensuring they receive the care and attention they deserve.

Outside of nursing, Sr Alta enjoys spending time with her beloved dog, expressing her creativity through painting, and sharing her love of cooking with family and friends.
